How the free trial works

The first month is free, and free means free: the complete software, the device itself, and fitting it to your vehicles — all at no cost. The only thing you pay up front is a security deposit of ₹1,000 per vehicle, 25%* of the hardware price, refundable on return of the devices in the condition you received them — whether or not you go on to buy from us.

At the end of the month you pick a plan — All-Inclusive or Own HiVAM Hardware. There is no contract either way, and nothing to pay for walking away.

  • Own HiVAM Hardware: the deposit comes straight off the hardware price. You pay the remaining 75% — ₹3,000 per vehicle — and the trackers are yours outright from that day.
  • All-Inclusive: we hold the deposit for exactly as long as you are running our hardware, and you pay nothing beyond the All-Inclusive rate. It is held against the devices, not against you.
  • Leaving later? Nothing to cancel and nothing to argue about. We collect the devices, assess what condition they came back in, and return the deposit accordingly.*

What actually goes on the vehicle

The HiVAM FleetSense tracker — one device, fitted one of two ways depending on the vehicle. This is exactly what the hardware line on this page pays for.

Location

GPS position, speed and heading, updated continuously.

Driving behaviour

Harsh braking and harsh acceleration, flagged from the onboard motion sensor.

Engine diagnostics

Fuel level and other data read straight from the vehicle's own engine computer (Core-OBD).

Tamper detection

Unplugging or disconnecting the unit is detected and reported immediately.

No surprises

Works without signal

Out of signal? The device keeps recording — around 25 days of buffered data — and syncs automatically the moment it reconnects.

Works without power

Power cut to the vehicle? The device switches to its own backup battery and keeps sending a location fix every 10 minutes, for up to 3 days.
